felicidades (congratulations) coldplay!

The other day, Faiz was asking me if Coldplay could win any awards for Grammy this year and I was moved by the question. I dont mind his suspicions about the band, he's forever doubting them and their music. I dont even care if he's betting on it because his arrogant head thinks so much of Muse. I dont care because Faiz and I are forever aggresively involved in an argument, debating on one inflamed, hot topic :

which band plays better music? Coldplay or Muse?

But the fact that I didnt even know that Grammy was just around the corner (which so happens to be today) kind of irritates me. It wasnt that I share the same birthday with my granny, or it wasnt that I was born yesterday. how could I possibly miss that?

Anyway, as I was saying about Grammy. Hold your breath, let me announce this :

Coldplay- who received seven Grammy nominations-

won three awards, including Song of The Year for "Viva La

Vida."

Accepting the Best Rock Album award for the group's album of the same name,

Mr Martin said: "We're not the heaviest of rock bands, as you may have noticed - we're more of a limestone rock band."

Martin duetted with hip-hop star Jay-Z on an interpretation of his band's song Lost. The rest of Coldplay then joined the stage for a powerful performance of Viva La Diva, much to the delight of Martin's wife Gwyneth Paltrow, who was seen clasping her hands with pride in the audience.

"We've never had so many Grammys in our life," said lead singer Chris Martin. "We feel so grateful to be here. I'm going to tear up."
